Credentials for the site access authentication
Active Directory
- For client or agent management, enter the
credentials for the domain administrator or a user in Domain
Admins group.
- Please specify full path of the domain name.
- To search for a host not belonging to the
domain, the computer cannot be found unless the host can resolve
the specified domain name.

credentials of the built-in administrator.
- If a computer is searched from the host on which

not be found.

settings page will be displayed again when the console window is
launched the next time.
- If only hypervisors are registered, it may take
some time until the list of the virtual machines is provided in
the agentless client list in the [Client] tab.
Operation Mode
Internet Online Mode
- When an activation request is issued from a
managed agent, ActiveVisor communicates with NetJapan's
activation server. If ActiveVisor fails to communicate with the
activation server, activation fails.
- When [Dashboard] - [Internet Connection] is set
to offline, ActiveVisor fails to communicate with NetJapan's
activation server. If the activation server is offline due to
any reasons other than the server maintenance, please check the
network settings. If you use proxy server for internet access,
select [Site Configuration] - [General Settings] to configure
the proxy server settings.
Internet Offline Mode
Agent-based Client List
- If the information in the list includes
inconsistencies, move the computers to [Unmanaged] and move them
back to [Managed] again.
- If a running computer with no ActiveImage
Protector installed is "offline", please configure the firewall
setting to allow [Windows Management Interface (WMI)] on the
computer.
If the firewall setting is configured for group policy, please
select [Network] - [Network Connection] - [Windows Firewall] and
enable [Allow inbound remote administration exception].
- If ActiveImage Protector is installed on the
computers that are moved to [Managed], you will need to check
the following: (Unless the icon to the left of the list is
displayed in green indicating [Client Connected])
- The connection to the client should be
established with the credential information configured in the
default settings.
If the connection to the client fails to establish, please
select the client and select [Change Credential] from the
right-click menu to change the credential setting and establish
the connection.
- Please configure the firewall setting to allow
[Windows Management Interface (WMI)] on the computer.
If the firewall setting is configured for group policy, please
select [Network] - [Network Connection] - [Windows Firewall] and
enable [Allow inbound remote administration exception].
- Clients may not be correctly grouped by filter
item "cluster" under the following conditions:
- Network credentials configured in Site
Configuration authenticate users accessing both Active Directory
and Windows network.
- Administrator accounts are separately set up.
Agentless Client List

- Deployment of the agent on the computer fails,
unless the icon to the left of list in [Client] - [Agent-based]
is displayed in green (Client Connected).
- If ActiveImage Protector installed on the deploy
target computer does not provide the option, the option is
disabled.
- If the destination is not accessible from the
deploy target agent, the deploy task fails.
Backup (Agent-based)
- If the disk information of the target client is
not properly obtained, deploy task fails. If you encounter the
problem, move the computer to [Unmanaged] and move it back to
[Managed] again. Then please make sure that the disk information
is properly obtained.
- When deploying an agent-based backup task or
schedule template, [When tasks conflict between deployed and
existed] option is disabled.
Agentless Backup
- A task can be deployed only in combination with
a schedule template.
- Execution of a task fails in -301 Error, if the
virtual machine specified for the backup source is already
selected as the backup source on the specified agent.
- Please do not deploy tasks selecting an
identical virtual machine for the backup source to different
agents. If an identical virtual machine is selected as the
backup source at multiple agents, incremental backups will not
be properly created.
