Before Using Technical Support Service

Before contacting Technical Support for help and advice, solutions to your questions may be found in vStandby's Help, README or the product information page at NetJapan's Web site.

When contacting Technical Support, please be prepared to provide the information below and a detailed description of the problem, including operational procedures to reproduce the problem, error messages if any, etc.

Serial Number (have available)
The serial number is listed on licensing document and on the support screen. Only the registered user is to contact Technical Support Services.

Support Information File (email to support@netjapan.com)
The support information file contains all pertinent files and logs about vStandby configuration, service activity, tasks, schedules, events, licenses and profiles. In addition, the Windows system information file, Windows event log and configuration files are included. This file/folder is placed on the local system desktop.

Generating Support Information File

Please email the support information file which will be useful in identifying and resolving the issue. To generate the support information file, click on the [Generate Support Info] button on the [About] screen. The folder file will be saved to the local desktop.
