Supported Operating Systems
Windows 7 64-bit, Windows 7 32-bit, Windows Server 2008 R2 or
later
- Backup image files created with
vmGuardian 3.0.20150422 or earlier can be used as a
replication source but are not supported.
- The following versions of ActiveImage Protector
do not support consolidated image files.
- Windows Edition:3.5.8 (SP6) or earlier
- Linux Edition:4.5.1 or earlier
- Creating a replication task when selecting a
backup image file located in a target destination will not
execute under the following conditions.
- If an existing backup schedule (created with AIP v3.5 SP6)
is configured with Replication and the option [Allow
consolidation at this target] is enabled.
- If upgrading to AIP v3.5 SP7 and the same
schedules are retained from the previous version.
Edit the AIP schedules and disable the Replication and
Consolidation options then save the changes.
- The following are the recommended option
settings if combined with the AIP Linux Replication option:
- Allow Consolidation of image files at this
replication target: OFF
- Policy - Replicate newly created files: ON
- If changing the login credential using the
[Changed Credential] menu, restart your system to apply the
change.
- To complete the updating or upgrading of this
product on Windows 10 or later, a restart of the system is
required upon completion of the upgrade installation process.
- A consolidated image set may not be selected if
a consolidated image set and the image files are located in the
same folder. If this scenario is encountered, please move the
consolidated image files to a different folder.
- An error is displayed If double-clicking the
[Run Now] button to start a scheduled Replication or
Consolidation task.
- Reducing the size of the console window may
cause misalignment of the displayed items.
- If an image file does not include the
information of the OS, the Linux icon is displayed in the OS
column.
- When clicking on the [x] icon located on the
right of the [History] column in the image file selection
window, the history may not display as deleted. It may be
necessary to close then re-open the image selection window.
- The information in the image file selection
window may not refresh correctly.
- When closing the dialog that displayed an error
in creating a schedule, the [Cancel] and [Back] buttons become
disabled.
If this occurs, click the [x] button located in the upper right
corner of the window to close the wizard.
- When editing replication target settings, a new
Amazon S3-compatible storage provider cannot be added.
- (6994) In [Edit Option] dialog, the performance
level may not be displayed correctly.
- If the [One Image per VM] option is enabled to
create a backup image file by vmGuardian, the entire VM's
profile is automatically selected for the Replication source
files.
- If selecting WebDAV and Amazon S3 for a
Replication target option, [Process Time] and the progress bar
are the only real time progress information displayed for the
Replication task execution.
Also, the percentage of the completed process remains unchanged
from the start. If multiple files are selected as the
Replication source, then the progress bar makes gains for the
percentage of total file size only when the Replication task
completes.
- If cancelling a Replication task, the task is
cancelled only when the running file replication completes.
- If a Replication task already exists when
right-clicking on an image in the list, The [Create Replication
Task] in the context menu may not be grayed out.
- When the [Keep target item same with source]
option is enabled, the replication target is synchronized with
the replication source at the same time as the schedule
specifies for the replication task.
- "After each incremental file(s)" schedule option
will not function for replicating vmGuardian created image
files.
- If cancelling a running consolidation task, the
cancellation result of the task is not indicated on console.
- If the credentials are changed for a remote host
after establishing a connection to a remote computer,
re-establish the connection to the remote computer from the [Add
New Agent] icon in the Agent List Pane.
- If the connection to a remote agent is
disconnected due to a restart of remote host, the displayed
status on the console is not automatically refreshed. Clicking
on the disconnected agent returns a "-571 error".
- When the console is restarted, the [Password]
for the E-Mail setting is blank. Even if the [Password] is
blank, the previously entered password is saved for the
credentials.
- Displayed information may not be refreshed. If
this occurs, restart the console.
- If the ImageCenter console is started in low
resolution, the console size may not display properly.
- When ImageCenter is started, IME may be
disabled. There may be instances that this problem is resolved
by displaying the language bar.
- Installing only the console and then restarting
the console after a connection with a remote computer is
established may result in a connection to an agent listed atop
of the agent list. If that agent is not up and running, an
"Agent connection error (-571)" is returned.
