Added /Updated Features
- Windows 10 November 2019 Update (Version 1909)
is supported.
- Replication feature, a post-backup process, is
enhanced as follows:
- Data transfer speed to FTP is improved.
- The
replication target setting is improved. Browsing the path for
the replication target to access the specified server or cloud
service can now be performed. New folders when configuring the
settings for the replication target can now be created.
- "WebDAV-https"
or "WebDAV-http" for WebDAV protocol can be selected.
- The
progress bar has been implemented for real-time monitoring of
the replication process to Amazon S3 or Azure.
- Pause /
Resume can now be selected during the replication process to
Amazon S3 or Azure.
- Changed the calculation method for the minimum
size of a restore target volume or available space for reduced
volume recovery.
Fixed Issues
- Backup
- The subsequently scheduled backup task failed in
error after selecting [Un-assign drive letter from Local Hard
Disk post backup] for [Destination Isolation Option]. This was
caused because the drive letter was not re-assigned before
starting the subsequently scheduled backup task.
- Replication
- Replication to Dropbox or Google Drive failed in
Error -340.
- Virtual Conversion
- When the process completed, AIX remained in the
destination of the backup images.
- Released as "Update" for ActiveImage Protector
Version 5.
- This version supports the following OS:
- Windows 7 (x86/x64) or later Windows Desktop OS
* Windows XP/Vista are not supported.
Added /Updated Features
- Windows 10 May 2019 Update (Version 1903) is
supported.
- Backup feature is enhanced as follows:
- The Image File Version has been updated to
[209].
- Enhanced the change tracking driver.
- Added Destination Isolation technology.
This feature reduces potential malware or ransomware attacks by
disconnecting access to backup image storage locations after
backups complete.
- The following advanced options are added.
- The time-out option and the maximum wait-time
setting for a backup task to complete
- Option to add the drivers required for
virtualization before starting backup process
- VSS setting option (Select operation mode,
Select files to exclude)
- If a backup image is created as a result of
Reconcile process, it will be recorded in task log. An option is
provided to save a backup image file instead of deleting.
- When [Auto run if a scheduled task is missed]
option is enabled and if both base and incremental backup images
are skipped, you are provided with an option for prioritizing
the execution of the base backup task.
- Cold backup of BitLocker encrypted volume is now
supported.
* A full sector backup of BitLocker encrypted volume is
required.
- You can schedule a backup task on a specific day
of a week in a specific month.
- Backup by Disk now supports the following
dynamic volume types.
- Simple
- Mirror
- The default image file format is changed to "MD
format" for the created backup file when multiple disks are
specified as the backup source.
- Backup of a volume by enabling Windows Data
Deduplication option is allowed.
- Enhanced/changed post-backup processes as
follows:
- Added Verify Backup Image File and Replication
features. You can select the following off-site replication
targets.
- Local folder
- Network shared folder
- SFTP
- FTP
- WebDAV
- Amazon S3
- Azure
- Dropbox
- Google Drive
- Enhanced the BootCheck feature as follows:
- Stability
improvements.
- The timing to start BootCheck process can be
specified.
- BootCheck no longer fails when running against
remote Hyper-V hosts.
* Oracle Virtual Box is not supported.
- Re-consolidation of the already consolidated
incremental image files is allowed
- Volume Recovery is enhanced/changed as follows:
- You are additionally provided with an option for
ignoring a checksum error occurred with a backup image and
continuing the process.
- Image Manager feature is enhanced/changed as
follows:
- Image Manager now includes BootCheck feature to
execute for a backup image file you specify.
- Virtualization feature is enhanced/changed as
follows:
- Added Virtualization adaptor feature designed to
inject virtualization drivers in recovery points (differential
image files) for a specified backup image file.
- Enhanced/changed other features as follows:
- Windows PE-based boot environment can be built
by using Windows ADK for Windows 10 Version 1903 or earlier.
* The following tools are required:
- Deployment Tools which are included in the
Windows ADK for Windows 10.
- Windows Preinstallation Environment (Windows
PE), which is included in the Windows PE add-on for Windows ADK.
- Boot Environment Builder (Windows PE) supports
USB HDD as the target device.
- ISO image of CentOS-based boot environment comes
with the product package.
- Dashboard provides monitoring of BootCheck task
log.
- Activation will successfully complete, even if
there is substantial time-lag between the system clock of the
local computer and the activation server at the moment of
activation.
