Boot Environment
Others
- When a master image file is created from a
pre-configured computer system, the created image file size is
based on the used space of the computer system. Ensure the USB
device has sufficient available space.
- A 64-bit OS is required to create the Deployment
USB Device. 32-bit environments are not supported to create
Deployment USB Device.
- You can select the device drivers supporting
Windows PE-based OS versions to include in Windows PE-based boot
environment.
- Depending on
the display type, the screen display may not appear with the
resolution level specified in Options setting.
- Building an
ActiveImage Deployment USB device may fail to include some type
of device driver.
- ActiveImage
Deploy USB supports backup image files meeting the following
criteria:
- Must be base
image file (*.aiv).
* If you need to restore ActiveImage Protector
incremental backup image files, please archive the image files by
using ActiveImage Protector's Archive feature.
- The display language changed in [Settings] is
not retained.
- [Automatically run Deploy/Restore task] does not
work when a password-protected image is used. When the correct
password is entered, the Deploy/Restore task will run.
- If the USB
device's capacity is 2TB or larger, please boot up the USB
device in uEFI mode. Booting a USB device of such large size
capacity in BIOS mode will fail.
* For more detailed operating procedures how to boot from USB
device, please contact the computer maker.
- Deploy/Restore
features do not support the backup image files copied to USB
device without using the wizard built in this product.
- Deploying/restoring
the master image file to a hard disk smaller than the source
disk fails.
- Deploying/restoring
the master image file to the target computer fails if the number
of the hard disks configured in the master image file and the
target computer differs.
- Attaching
multiple ActiveImage Deploy USB devices to a target computer,
deploying/restoring the master image to the target computer
fails. Please make sure that only one ActiveImage Deploy USB
device is attached to the computer before proceeding with
further operation.
- Deploy /
Restore features support the environment where up to two disks
are connected.
- When the
Restore task is cancelled in the midst of the restore process,
please boot up from the media and run the task again.
- Only non-LVM systems are supported for the
Linux system image to deploy/restore.
- After deploying/restoring a Linux system image
in uEFI boot mode, create a boot entry by using the CentOS
LiveCD. For further details, please visit here.
- If a Microsoft BitLocker encrypted volume is
included in the backup source for the master image, a full
sector backup of the encrypted volume is taken.
* Desktop license does not support backup of a BitLocker
encrypted volume.
