Eliminate / restore a device of which incremental backup is executed

To eliminate / restore a device of which incremental backup is executed, please take the following procedures:
The following problems may occur if you don't take the required action as described below.

Procedures

  1. Delete the backup schedule which the restore / elimination target device is specified.
  2. From the console run the following commands.

# /etc/aipsnap status --detail
→ Tracking information is provided as follows:
aipsnap-1.0.2-329 is running

Snapshot activated

Enabled Snapshots

Enabled Trackers
    tr2 /dev/sdc1 /dev/loop2

Incremental Configured Devices
    /dev/sdc1
# /etc/aipsnap disable_tracker <device name>
→ Remove the corresponding device.

  1. Restore or eliminate the device of which tracking information is deleted.
